About Me
TEACHER. LEARNER. TRAVELER. DREAMER.
Who is India Morris Ed?
My name is India Morris and I have been teaching since January of 2013. I am an Oklahoma Christian University alumna where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I also hold a Masters degree from Texas A & M University in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Creativity. I first started teaching in Oklahoma City before moving back home to Texas to teach. I have taught both kindergarten and third grade and am currently teaching a K-5 Gifted and Talented class. I am fortunate to teach in the school district I grew up in and learn from teachers that I had as a student. I hold certifications in Texas in EC-6 Core Subjects, ESL and Gifted and Talented as well as in Oklahoma EC-3. I am incredibly passionate about what I do and love to share and learn from others. I am interested in integrating art into my teaching, encouraging creativity among my students, grant writing and educational technology. Some of my favorite trainings I have attended include the VSA Intersections: Arts and Special Education Conference (Washington D.C.) and the TCRWP Writing Institute (NYC). Outside of school you will find me playing with my baby and pup, working on hand lettering projects, reading books or traveling and planning my next adventure.
